PSG’s relationship with Kylian Mbappe has been the subject of a lot of discussions in this summer’s transfer window, with the forward keen on a move to Real Madrid and willing to run down his PSG contract to do so, something PSG’s officials are not happy with.
Kylian Mbappe has always loved Real Madrid through his affiliation with Cristiano Ronaldo, his childhood idol. However, PSG has done a lot of things to keep him at the club, which is perhaps the problem because they created a situation they couldn’t manage until yesterday.
Kylian Mbappe back in PSG squad
This summer transfer window has been full of surprises. Karim Benzema’s decision to leave Real Madrid despite being the only recognized striker they had, throwing the whole club’s transfer plans into turmoil. Lionel Messi’s arrival at Inter Miami and his goalscoring run of eight goals in five games for his new club. But there could be more to come.
The latest surprise is the reinstatement of Kylian Mbappe into the PSG squad after it seemed like the Frenchman’s relationship with the club had been badly damaged to the point of no return. The former Monaco forward had been made to train with the club’s reserve squad since he sent a formal letter informing them of his decision not to stay at the club beyond next season, forcing the club’s hands.

PSG has now released a statement confirming Mbappe’s reinstatement into the club’s first team setup. The club struggled without any of their star men in their opening game against Lorient, with the team unable to break down a stubborn defense. Neymar and Mbappe watched from the stands as the former is on the verge of joining Saudi club Al-Hilal.
Kylian Mbappe rejected a bumper offer of a whopping $776 million from Al-Hilal a month ago in favor of European leagues, much to the surprise of many soccer fans and pundits.
Kylian Mbappe to Real Madrid still on hold
The plan has always been clear on Mbappe and Real Madrid’s side – run down his contract and sign for free with the Spanish giants next summer. PSG officials strongly believe the Spanish club already has a deal with Mbappe, which they’re not happy with.
While the reasons behind Mbappe’s reinstatement are not clear, it is believed that the Frenchman will not change his mind about moving to Real Madrid next summer after rejecting all the contract offers on the table from PSG.
