In WWE, LA Knight is currently one of the biggest rising superstars who has garnered massive support from the fans. It has now become somewhat of a tradition for the superstar to receive a loud YEAH! from the audience whenever he steps into the ring. On the other hand, Finn Balor has also been a familiar name to WWE enthusiasts for the last few years.
Both rising wrestling stars faced off against each other in the newest episode of WWE SmackDown as a tribute to the late WWE superstar Bray Wyatt.
LA Knight beats Finn Balor
The latest episode of WWE SmackDown began with a 10-bell salute to Bray Wyatt and Terry Funk. Both stars passed away within a few days of each other. Later in the evening, it was announced Finn Balor and LA Knight would fight in the main event on the WWE SmackDown. While announcing the match, Michael Cole mentioned that both superstars were rivals of Bray Wyatt.
When Bray made his debut as The Fiend, Finn Balor aka The Irish Captor was his first in-ring opponent. On the other hand, LA Knight was the last opponent Wyatt faced in his run with WWE. Overall, the late star shared a great rivalry with both of them.

At the beginning of the match, LA Knight landed a shoulder tackle on Finn and then relentlessly tackled him which eventually led Balor to crash into the announcer’s desk. After getting back inside the ring Knight delivered a clothesline to the Irish superstar and continued with several stomps in the corner of the ring.
Balor recovered and looked to hit the Coup De Grace but Knight countered the move with a power slam. Eli Drake then tripped Balor while he was climbing the pole and then hit him with a superplex. He then delivered a BFT to secure the win.
LA Knight vs. The Miz speculated for WWE Payback
For WWE’s next premium live event Payback, matches were officially announced during the latest episode of “SmackDown.” Rey Mysterio will be defending his newly won ‘United States Championship’ against former titleholder Austin Theory, and L.A. Knight is going face to face with The Miz as announced for Payback.
Knight’s match was announced during the main event of Friday’s “SmackDown,” which saw him achieve a victory over Judgment Day’s Finn Balor. Eli Drake and Miz have been at odds since last SummerSlam, where Knight was the winner in the Slim Jim Battle Royal.
