One of those questions was about Davis’ plans for the prize money that he would get if he won the In-Season Tournament. The big man of the Lakers gave a heartwarming answer and said that he would get his family gifts for Christmas with the prize money.
“Christmas is coming up, so some gifts for the kids and wife, yeah,” said Anthony while he was asked about his plans for the incentive rewarded from the tournament. If the Lakers win the tournament each player on the team will get a huge sum of $500,000 and an additional $200,00 would be rewarded for making it to the finals. With that much money, Anthony Davis can browse through a wide variety of great gifts that would surely make his kids and wife happy.
LeBron James hails Davis’ defensive prowess
Lebron James gave an exceptional performance in the match against the Pelicans but he knows that Anthony Davis’ support is the one that enabled him to do so. The Lakers’ ace sat down in a post-game interview along with AD and complimented the big man for his defensive capabilities and dedication towards his team.
LeBron reportedly said, “I do not think that we have another one in our league that can do it, that can guard 1 through 5 and we know that he can get a stop. He has been doing it for so long, that I think it is taken for granted by the league. When we talk about Defensive POY and guys that defend at a high level. It is more than blocking shots, it is being able to switch out and disrupt… the ability to shut down everything and disrupt everything and AD does that.”
