James out with left ankle peroneal tendinopathy injury
Lakers injury reports reveal that Lakers star LeBron James, who recently announced a partnership with a billion-dollar company, has suffered an ankle injury. The medical experts revealed that Bron had suffered a left ankle peroneal tendinopathy and wasn’t available to play on Thursday against the Boston Celtics.
LeBron has been playing this season with nursing injuries and hasn’t had any time off to heal himself. This seems to have taken a toll on his body. There has been no official announcement about his return date, but the fans expect their ace to be back on the court in a few weeks. The absence of LeBron is a big blow to the Lakers in any game, however, they were able to surprise the Celtics even without him.
Achilles tendinopathy and left hip spasms keep Davis on the Bench
As for the Lakers’ big man Anthony Davis, the Lakers injury update revealed that he was suffering from Achilles tendinopathy and left hip spasms and was ruled out of the Celtics game. The hip injury has been troubling Davis for quite some time since the start of this season. He recently fell to the ground in pain in a match against the Golden State Warriors and had to be escorted to the locked room with the Lakers’ staff.
Lakers’ head coach Darwin Ham also commented on the condition of his two stars. He reportedly said, “Those guys (James and Davis) are dealing with two active injuries that we have been pretty much managing all year, it got inflamed a little bit… I wanted to let them go through shootaround and see how it was, I determined ultimately that they will be out for the night.“ Ham revealed that he let James and Davis do warmups but ultimately felt that they needed rest and decided to sideline them.
