Lakers LeBron James’ ex-teammate reacts to hilarious Draymond Green-Rudy Gobert scuffle parody

The Golden State Warriors fashionably started the season, getting four wins out of the first five games but the team is struggling at the moment which could be the result of missing the injured PG Stephen Curry and suspended Draymond Green in their lineup. Their struggle continues as they lost again in their recent matchup against the OKC.

In the previous game the Golden State Warriors made the headlines in a fiery showdown against the Minnesota Timberwolves. The incident has now prompted a retired veteran who was a former teammate of LeBron James to react over the insane drama between Draymond Green and Rudy Gobert.

Richard Jefferson reacts to Draymond Green-Rudy Gobert Scuffle

LeBron James’ ex-teammate Richard Jefferson responded to a circulating video of the altercation between Draymond Green and Rudy Gobert. Following the fight on Tuesday night, Green received a five-game suspension without pay, while Gobert was fined for his involvement. Jefferson who is an active TikTok user, shared a humorous video parodying the Green-Gobert scuffle, using the viral exchange between Oklahoma senator Markwayne Mullin and union leader Sean O’Brien.

The video cleverly synced parts of the Green-Gobert fight with the dialogue from Mullin, O’Brien, and Senator Bernie Sanders in their Capitol altercation. Jefferson found it incredibly amusing, unable to hide his constant smile. The heated exchange between Mullin and O’Brien eventually simmered down as they seemingly reconciled, planning to have coffee together.

In contrast, the on-court clash between the Golden State Warriors and Minnesota Timberwolves lacked the same resolution. Klay Thompson and Jaden McDaniels initiated the skirmish by tugging at each other’s jerseys. Thompson’s jersey ended up torn amusingly and he donned a new one before being ejected alongside McDaniels.

Amid the chaos, Rudy Gobert attempted to intervene by putting his arms around Thompson. Draymond Green perceived it as aggression, responding in kind instead of diffusing the situation. Green placed Gobert in a headlock and dragged him a few feet before other players and staffs intervened to calm him down.

However, the result of the drama wasn’t good for the Warriors’ who had Green ejected from the game, while Gobert, who was seen as a peacemaker remained on the court. The Timberwolves secured another victory against the struggling Warriors at the Chase Center.

Steve Kerr breaks silence on Draymond Green incident

Following the first-quarter insane drama between the Warriors and Timberwolves, Draymond Green, Klay Thompson, and Timberwolves’ forward Jaden McDaniels were all ejected. Green was observed grabbing Rudy Gobert in a chokehold, dragging him to the floor, while other players struggled to separate them.

Coach Steve Kerr openly criticized the officials’ decision to eject Klay Thompson, insisting it was unjust after watching the replay of the incident. He argued that “There’s no way Klay Thompson should’ve been thrown out of the game.”

Defending Green’s actions, Kerr stated that the chokehold and dragging were in retaliation for Rudy having his hands on Klay Thompson’s neck. However, Kerr’s argument did not prevent Green from facing a five suspension and the veteran is set to lose a substantial amount which is around $700,000, due to his involvement in the altercation during the Warriors and Timberwolves matchup which ended in defeat for the Warriors with a 101-104 scoreline.

Unfortunately for the Dubs, without Draymond Green and Stephen Curry in the lineup, they once more succumbed to a 128-109 defeat at the hands of the Oklahoma City Thunder earlier yesterday.
