After a disappointing start to the season, LeBron James has made a great comeback in the league with the Los Angeles Lakers. The Lakers were on a losing streak at the start but turned it around and went on a winning streak. It ended shortly after just 3 games, but the win-to-lose ratio of the Lakers is looking better than before now.
They faced the Portland Trail Blazers on Friday, and LeBron delivered an exceptional performance against them. He now has set sights on the Houston Rockets with an intention for payback after the Rockets humiliated the Lakers early in the season.
LeBron James promises payback
After securing the win against the Portland Trail Blazers, LeBron James already started thinking about his next matchup. He was looking forward to the Lakers meeting the Houston Rockets and expressed his thoughts about the upcoming matchup.
Bron said, “We have an upcoming game on Sunday versus Houston, who did a number on us in their place not too long ago, so we are looking forward to that matchup.”
The Houston Rockets had humiliated the Lakers the last time both teams met. The Rockets were successful in tearing apart the Lakers’ defense and finished the game with 128 points. That specific match may be James’ worst match this season where he was shut down and was not able to do much.
He scored only 18 points, which is way lower than his season’s average. It’s understandable that LeBron is looking to settle the score this time around, but it won’t be easy as the Rockets are a good team this season with Bron’s “friend” Dillon Brooks on the squad.
LeBron leads Lakers to memorable win Blazers
The Portland Trail Blazers faced the Lakers in an exciting match where both teams gave each other a tough fight. However, the game ended in favor of the Purple and Gold with a final score of 107-95. LeBron James was the star from the Lakers’ side, delivering a spectacular performance and dropping 35 points. He also provided 9 crucial assists to his teammates and collected 5 rebounds.
LeBron did not feature in the previous matchup between where the Lakers won without him. This time the Blazers had to deal with Bron as well, it’s a no-brainer that they lost time as well. A few days after the game King James posted a story on his Instagram where he highlighted his performance from the Blazers and game and also delivered a message to his haters to shut them up.
