LeBron James gets snubbed by Snoop Dogg
The ace of the Los Angeles Lakers was left out of the top 5 list of their super fan Snoop Dogg. Dogg was invited as a guest on the “All the Smoke” podcast, where the iconic rapper shared his views on a lot of things related to basketball. During a segment of the podcast, he was asked to name his current top 5 in the NBA, and the Lakers super fan left LeBron James off of that list.
Snoop reportedly said, “That m*****f***** from the Nuggets, Joker (Nikola Jokic)… him off the tippy. When Ja Morant is on court, I can’t even front, that n***a is something different… He is a goon with a spoon. I like the guy from the Oklahoma City Thunder (Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. he plays like Snoop Dogg. I like him… Gianni has been turning on and off, man, and (Joel) Embiid is the same way. But wait a minute Embiid is keeping his light on a little bit more so I’mma throw him in there.”
He further continued and named the final star, “One more? That young goon from the Timberwolves (Anthony Edwards), That n***a will bang on your a**… That is my top five right now and there are no Lakers in there right now. No disrespect. (LeBron James) you are coming off the bench for being an old a** n***a with all that game but You still show up n***a.”
Snoop named a lot of young players on his list, which was topped by Nuggets star Nikola Jokic. Following Jokic were Ja Morant, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Joel Embiid, and Anthony Edwards. Snoop left Bron off his list, giving the reason that he is too old now.
Snoop Dogg exempts LeBron James from his trade wish
During another segment on the “All the Smoke” podcast, Snoop Dogg expressed his direct feelings concerning the Lakers towards the owner of the franchise, Jeanie Buss. Snoop asked her to “move some furniture,” implying that Buss needs to get active in the trade market and get some new players for the team while moving some old players out.
However, Dogg also stated that LeBron has been doing his part on the team despite his age and exempted him from his list of players the Lakers need to trade. Dogg reportedly said, “Get us some young guns out there, Old Dog (LeBron James) you doing your thing, I’mma give you yours.” Lebron James who recently turned 39 has been delivering stunning performances each week which has left people questioning whether age matters or not. He has been averaging 24.8 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 7.5 assists per game which is a very respectable stat considering his age.
