This feature was not at all well received by the drivers, but in spite of their obvious disagreement, Las Vegas GP is set to bring back driver introductions. The pre-race procedure will constitute an event similar to Miami GP. This includes cheerleaders and star studded introduction which will supposedly increase entertainment during the race and grab attention of public. This new glitz show is similar to the 2019 United States GP introductions which had brought in mixed reactions from fans, as Fernando Alonso sarcastically added, “It was a bad joke.”

The driver intros of Las Vegas GP have caused mass disapproval among drivers, as they don’t like to remain too long under the sun and get exhausted before the race start. Many drivers have called out the intros calling it partial treatment for American fans, and that drivers need to focus before the race instead of getting distracted due to such kind of intros.

Lando Norris in particular slammed F1 for starting with a new section of intros and went on to say that no one liked it, “None of the drivers like it, but it’s not for us at the end of the day,” admitting the fact that it may have been for the fans’ liking.

“…as drivers we all just want to do is sit down and focus on what we need to focus on and not do so much TV and everything. It’s a business at the end of the day, so it’s what we’ve got to do. Adding more and more stuff like this, no driver likes it. We do so much. There’s a limit to how much we should do. We’re here focus on doing the job and not just be in front of a camera all day.”
