LeBron James to feature in star-studded Netflix docuseries
Basketball legend Lebron James is set to feature in a star-studded Netflix docuseries that follows NBA players and gives fans an insight into their fast-paced lives on and off the basketball court.
The production of the series is led by James’ SpringHill production company which is also partnering up with former US president Barack Obama’s production company, High Ground Productions. To assist with the development of the series, former NFL player Peyton Manning’s production house, which produced Quarterback, will also be assisting the King’s production crew in the creation of the basketball show.
LeBron James started Springhill with his long-time friend and business partner Maverick Carter in 2008 and has created successful shows and movies that cater to the basketball world. “Space Jam: A New Legacy”, and the Netflix special “Hustle” are some of the most recent works led by the duo’s production.
The King has previously appeared in multiple documentaries that covered his and his childhood friends’ rise in high school basketball as they waded through the difficulties of living in LeBron’s hometown, Akron, Ohio.
LeBron James’ previous documentary appearances
LeBron James has previously appeared in multiple documentaries that covered his rise in high school basketball.
In June last year, James was featured in a documentary called “Shooting Stars” which showcased how James and his high school friends became the USA’s No. 1 high school in basketball. It also featured James’ meteoric rise in the world of the NBA.
The documentary brought to light Bron’s unique abilities and his insane stat lines, which resembled NBA-esque potential.
Another documentary that featured the basketball legend was the 2008 documentary “More Than a Game.” According to IMDB, the documentary followed Bron and his four teammates “through the trials and tribulations of high school basketball in Ohio and James’ journey to fame.”
James has also shown his talents beyond the basketball world by making his acting debut in the basketball movie Space Jam: A New Legacy and it will be interesting to note how many of his talents we are yet to witness away from basketball.
