LeBron and Lakers to face Pelicans in play-in tournament
LeBron James led the Lakers to a dominant win over New Orleans with a massive triple-double, showcasing his brilliant partnership with Anthony Davis, whose absence previously impacted the franchise.
The 4-time champion scored 28 points, 11 rebounds, and 17 assists, while Davis put up a game-high 30 points and grabbed 11 rebounds, silencing his doubters. The two came back from their injuries and illness to help out the squad, which lacked depth during their absence. In the final quarter, Davis left the court with a foot injury, however, the center will certainly appear for the rematch game to score more points.
Although the Pelicans didn’t have much to offer in the game, they will have an opportunity to redeem themselves in the play-in on Tuesday. The teams are one game win away from proceeding in the playoff tournament. Whoever loses between the two will have to face the winner of the Golden State Warriors versus Sacramento Kings game to advance in the playoffs.
