Ever since his debut back in 2003, LeBron James has been a sensation for all basketball fans around the world. The now-38-year-old has inspired hundreds and millions of young talents to pursue professional basketball as a career and many people have become his die-hard fans.

James, on the other hand, has fully appreciated the support of his fans and has given back to the community many times. He is a very popular icon and his sneaker line by Nike is one of the best-selling sneakers around the world. LeBron recently sat down for a quick interview and listed his five best sneakers of all time.

LeBron James’s blind ranking of the five best sneakers

LeBron James sat down for a quick interview session with the Bleacher Report Kicks staff, where he blindly ranked the five best sneakers from his entire sneaker line. There are more than 21 sneakers with different color iterations in the Nike LeBron lineup and King James was tasked with picking his top five.

King James did an excellent job at the task and started with LeBron 9 “Watch the Throne” which he placed at number two. The shoes that followed were LeBron 10 Cork, Miami Nights” LeBron 9 lows, and LeBron First Game with all of them being placed in the number three, four, and five respectively.

LeBron then said,“ There’s no way you made this list without the South Beach 8s.” King James placed the last sneaker, the iconic LeBron South Beach 8s on the number one spot and said, “It’s the best shoe in my lineup.”

LeBron’s $1 billion lifetime deal with Nike

LeBron James has always been the “Nike guy”, as he was signed by Nike before he even made his debut. James made a good amount of buzz since his high school days at St. Vincent-St. Mary. He became quite popular among basketball enthusiasts and was already being named the next Michael Jordan of the NBA. Nike was quick to act on the buzz and signed LeBron ahead of the competition.

This was a jackpot for Nike as LeBron went on to become arguably the biggest star in NBA and his sneaker line is one of the hottest-selling items on Nike’s shelves. King James initially signed an $87 million 7-year deal with Nike and in those seven years, he became the LeBron we know today. In 2015 Nike took this endorsement deal to the next level and signed LeBron James to a staggering $1 billion lifetime deal making him the second NBA player to sign a lifetime deal with Nike after Michael Jordan.
