But that’s not all. A young NBA fan quickly called out King James for what he perceived as flopping as the Lakers superstar failed to win against the Miami Heat. While LeBron already had some issues with the officials, the jeering from the fans made matters worse.
LeBron James is upset with NBA referees
Following the recent Lakers-Heat game, LeBron James took to social media to voice his dissatisfaction with the NBA referees’ performance. Despite the NBA confirming that all calls made in the crucial final moments of the game were correct, LeBron responded by retweeting a statement that conveyed his frustrations.
In his retweet, LeBron emphasized that the outcome of a game is not solely determined by the last two minutes.
“The game isn’t won or lost in the last 2 mins! If you know the game things happen throughout the 1st, 2nd. 3rd and first 10 mins of 4th that has MAJOR impact on outcomes.”, he wrote.
He highlighted that event occurring throughout the entirety of the game, including the early stages of each quarter, carry significant weight in shaping the final result.
While the NBA stands by the referees’ decisions, the four-time NBA champion’s statement comprehensively asserts the need for superior officiating from tip-off to the final buzzer.
As one of the league’s premier players, LeBron’s voice carried weight, and his frustration drew attention to the importance of maintaining integrity in officiating throughout the entirety of a game. But at the same time, fans had a few of their own words regarding the player in a previous game.
LeBron James got roasted by a young NBA fan
In a recent game between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Orlando Magic, LeBron James faced some unexpected backlash from a young NBA fan. As the game progressed, with the Lakers eventually losing 120-101, this young fan took the opportunity to verbally attack James, exclaiming, “Stop flopping. Stop flopping. Run, run. You look like you sharted your pants,” an unexpected remark that got people talking.
However, the roasting wasn’t the only trouble for LeBron that night. The Lakers seemed out of control throughout the game, with the Magic dominating on the boards and outscoring them with an impressive 51-40 rebound advantage. The Lakers also struggled to prevent second-chance points, giving up 36 in total. Additionally, their 17 turnovers further added to their downfall.
Notably, this game also ended the Lakers’ seven-game winning streak against the Magic and surprisingly, the season series between these two teams concluded with an even 1-1 record. Despite their efforts, in the final 12 minutes of the game, the Lakers made one last push to turn the tides by keeping their star players, Anthony Davis and LeBron James, on the court in hopes of overcoming the deficit.
However, their attempts fell short as the Magic remained dominant. With just over four minutes remaining, Magic’s Cole Anthony scored a crucial three-pointer, further sealing the Lakers’ fate. At this point, the Lakers conceded the loss, opting to withdraw their two starters and empty their bench.
