LeBron James emerged in the sports scene at a very young age, even before he was dubbed the ‘Chosen One’ by Sports Illustrated when he was just 16. Since making his NBA debut in 2003, LeBron has become one of the most decorated players in the history of the league. There are, however, great expectations that his son, Bronny, will follow in his father’s footsteps on the path to the NBA.
LeBron James has recently announced on his Instagram that his daughter, Zhuri, is poised to become the next superstar in the world of sports, but this time, not in basketball, but in the realm of volleyball.
LeBron’s daughter takes center stage in volleyball
LeBron James‘ daughter Zhuri has decided to take after his father’s career choice in sports but in volleyball. In a video shared by LeBron James on his Instagram, his daughter Zhuri was seen in a volleyball match and the father (LeBron) reacted happily with the caption “Another one in the making! Uh-Oh!! Let’s go Gooooo Munchin!!”
Zhuri Nova who is the youngest child of LeBron James and his wife Savannah, was born on 22 Oct. 2014 a year after her parents’ marriage. The Legend had previously posted a video of his 8-year-old daughter Zhuri showing off volleyball skills in their backyard. In the clip, Zhuri seemed to crush a ball over a net that had been set up on their lawn, which excited the legend. James captioned the video “My Volleyball star in the making.”
Zhuri’s recent appearance in a volleyball game indicates her interest in a different sport from her brother. LeBron James’ fans may anticipate her volleyball career surpassing her father’s basketball journey.
LeBron James son, Bronny gave commitment to USC for college basketball
LeBron’s eldest son, Bronny on the other hand has declared his commitment to continue his college basketball career with USC. Bronny James made the commitment public on social media by writing the Trojans’ school slogan, “Fight On”, and wore his high school uniform in the Trojans’ locker room at the Galen Center.
At 18 years old, Bronny, a McDonald’s All-American just like his father, initially remained uncommitted to a college basketball team. During his time at Sierra Canyon School, the young star faced off against Wheeler High School from Georgia, led by Isaiah Collier, who is now his teammate at USC. Bronny’s decision to commit to USC has given him the opportunity to join a team led by Coach Andy Enfield, alongside other talented players.
The USC are heading for their third straight NCAA tournament appearance, and stars like the guard Collier will return, many wondered if the team’s strong roster at guard would make Bronny stay back but he has decided to face the challenge. So let us see what his journey with the University of Southern California in the fall will look like in the coming year.
