Legendary NBA player Kobe Bryant’s photo shoot after the Finals showed “the posture as though he was forced”

Kobe Bryant is one of the biggest names in the basketball world. The legacy he left is hard to match even today and has immortalized him in the hearts of his fans and critics alike. Kobe has had a legendary NBA and international career, he has cemented himself as one of the greatest of all time.

Recently an old video surfaced where Kobe was asked to pose for a photo after he won the championship. His reaction clearly shows how reluctant he was to pose but that moment led to one of the most iconic photos of the Black Mamba to date.

Kobe appeared reluctant to take the pictures

In the video posted by Bleacher Report, Kobe Bryant can be seen wearing street-style outfits on top of his Los Angeles Lakers match gear. It was most probably suggested by the photographer and his team, but the mamba surely looked embarrassed to be in that outfit.

Kobe then took the trophy and smiled reluctantly for a bit but quickly made a poker face for the photograph. The result was one of the most iconic photos of the black mamba ever taken. That photograph when released blew up and Kobe’s popularity rose even more although not many people don’t know how reluctant he was for that photograph to be taken.

Number of NBA titles collected by Kobe

Kobe Bryant is one of the most decorated players in NBA history, he has won a total of five NBA championships. Only a handful of players have more than five NBA rings and Kobe solidified his legacy and proved himself to everyone with his achievements.

The first three championships that he won were with the NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal and people started to doubt Kobe’s ability after Shaq left the team. However, Kobe won two more championships as the Lakers’ leader and proved to everyone that with his famous mamba mentality, he could do it alone as well. Kobe Bryant has also been named the NBA Finals MVP twice in his career (in 2009 and 2010) and is considered to be one of the greatest basketball players of all time.

What do you think of Kobe Bryant’s iconic photograph? How many rings do you think the Black Mamba would have won if Shaq had stayed? We are eager to know your thoughts, so drop down in the comments section and share with us.
