There is little doubt about Lewis Hamilton’s exceptional driving skills. He has firmly solidified himself as a significant figure in Formula 1 history by winning his seventh World Drivers’ Championship title in 2020 at the Turkish Grand Prix, equaling Michael Schumacher’s record.
Recently, there has been a flurry of wild rumors circulating about the British driver, with the most recent one suggesting that Hamilton has acquired a majority stake in Aston Martin, ultimately being the team owner.
Lewis Hamilton became owner of Aston Martin
In a Twitter post by @_HenryMill, it was claimed that Lewis Hamilton is currently the team owner of Aston Martin due to his majority stake in Aston Martin. The post has caused confusion among many readers, with some believing it to be true and others mocking the individual for spreading false information.
The post was manipulated to make it appear as if it were published on the official F1 page. It described Aston Martin’s “struggles,” despite the team’s impressive performance in recent years. It also highlighted Lewis Hamilton’s role in Formula One, not only as a driver but also as a stakeholder.
With no official news confirming that Lance Stroll has relinquished his position, the audience has expressed their anger in response to the post in the comment section below, along with several making memes of this scenario too.
A few of the comments were such as:
“Source: my own sick and twisted imagination”
“Don’t believe it.”
“Wow, that’s bold!! Big congrats to SLH!!”
“The amount of people thinking this is real is frightening. Talk about gullible.”
Lewis Hamiltonâs Mercedes chief quits
After 11 years of collaboration, Chief Technical Officer Mike Elliott has parted ways with Mercedes. Mike has received high praise from the team for his strategy to ‘renew the team’s technical capabilities for the years ahead’ following a challenging period during which they were significantly outperformed by Red Bull.
Reportedly, Elliott “decided to take a break from the sport in the coming months before determining his next challenge.”
According to Team Principal Toto Wolff, Mike has been a cornerstone of the team’s achievements over the past decade, contributing to both the team’s culture and their consecutive victories.
When asked about his feelings regarding his departure, Mike replied, “It has been one of the great privileges of my career to be part of this Mercedes team. During my time, I have seen it grow from a group of people pulling together to win races, then a first championship, to winning a record eight consecutive constructorsâ championships â and I am proud to have made my contribution to that journey.”
âAlthough the last two seasons have not seen us winning races in the manner we aspire to, they have tested us in many other ways â and forced us to question our fundamental assumptions about how we deliver performance. During the past six months, I have enjoyed developing the technical strategy that we hope can provide the foundations of the teamâs next cycle of success.â
