There have been a lot of protests in Vegas from non-F1 fans, their main concern being the privacy shutters put up by organizers to stop viewers from getting a bird’s-eye view. However, they met with a lot of resistance and the plan turned out to be entirely controversial. The sole purpose of adding Las Vegas GP to the F1 calendar was to increase the interest of fans in America.
Although the way things have been recently definitely looks like Las Vegas GP is causing a negative impact on Formula 1’s reputation, Lewis Hamilton has actively spoken up against the mishandling of local people’s emotions and rebuked the organizers of the race for their insensitivity. “I think we have to be respectful of the locals”, Lewis Hamilton further emphasized that people should be taken care of and not negatively impacted by the sport.
Wolff vows to channel personal anger to propel Hamilton’s F1 dream
Toto Wolff is hugely disappointed in the W14 and he has been vocal about his expectations from this year’s car. On the other hand, Lewis Hamilton is in a similar predicament, where he is just eager to leave the W14 behind and start his challenge again with next year’s W15.
However, the two years of unexpected results and slow cars have not managed to bring down the determination of Toto Wolff, who is still angry about Lewis Hamilton’s ‘unfair’ loss back in 2021. He has put forth his agenda regarding Lewis Hamilton very clearly.
“You can see how quickly the pecking order changes. We won eight constructors’ championships in a row, and it has been two years since Red Bull have been taking the trophy home. But we have to look forward, learn from the past, and the push now is to make Lewis win quickly again.
“I have a personal anger, and drive to make him win the eighth title because he should have had it. As a team principal, it is important to be fair and open with both drivers. But there is a big part of us that will always want to be a part of that story in undoing and overcoming 2021.”
