Most fans expected Messi to do good for Inter Miami, but he seemingly expected all expectations by scoring five goals and one assist in only his first three matches for his new club. Lionel Messi scored his second brace for the Florida-based club as the team recorded a 3-1 win over Orlando City in the Round of 16 of the MLS Cup.

Inter Miami, who had been on a 6-game winless run before the arrival of Lionel Messi, has now won three in a row, booking them a spot in the Quarter Finals of the MLS Cup against FC Dallas. The 36-year-old opened the scoring for Inter Miami when he received a sublime over-the-top pass from another in-form teammate, Robert Taylor. He easily controlled the ball with his chest before slotting it past the opposition goalkeeper.
The Argentine, who recently paid a touching tribute to compatriot Diego Maradona by donning the jersey the late Maradona scored his last goal in at the 1994 World Cup, added his second goal of the night in the 72nd minute with a half-volley after getting the ball from Martinez. He scored both of his goals with his right foot.

Messi is known for a few iconic celebrations. When he was in Barcelona, the Argentine tormented Real Madrid a few times, and one of those times, he took his shirt off and showed off his name to the Real Madrid fans in the stands, something Ronaldo would later copy.
Since moving to Inter Miami, Messi has displayed some beautiful celebrations. In his second match, he did the “Thor” celebration, stretching his hand forward like the fictional character would if he were calling his hammer. Last night, the Argentine paid tribute to another comicbook superhero Black Panther by doing the Wakanda Forever celebration. These celelbrations suggest that the argentine may be a fan of the ‘Avengers’ series.
