Liverpool to hijack Manchester United target Sofyan Amrabat following Moises Caicedo’s snub

Liverpool has already lost a handful of first-team starters to the Saudi Pro League. Jordan Henderson, Roberto Firmino, and Fabinho have succumbed to the enticing offers of Saudi Arabian clubs. Furthermore, Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia have rejected offers from the Reds. Now they are in dire need to reshape their midfield and are reportedly planning to start with a Red Devils top target.

Liverpool have an infamous record for luring away Manchester United targets. Cody Gakpo was going to sign for United before Liverpool made their ‘sneaky’ move and landed the player. And now they’re on again to another United target.

Liverpool considering Sofyan Amrabat move

Liverpool are reportedly looking to hijack the Sofyan Amrabat deal as they look to complete the Midfielder’s signing in the coming days.

This move for Manchester United target Sofyan Amrabat could become a big blow to the Red Devils because the player is crucial to them. They have been weighing up the possibility of the Moroccan reinforcing their midfield all summer, but no formal approach has been made to Fiorentina, where Amrabat currently plays.

It is reported that Sofyan Amrabat has agreed to all personal terms with Manchester United, but the club has not exercised the haste required for a valuable player like Amrabat.

However, In their defense, their financial condition and an impending takeover may have made it challenging to complete a crucial signing as this one without a number of outgoings.

United’s Amrabat pursuit dealt significant blow with Harry Maguire staying

Manchester United has been on Sofyan Amrabat’s radar for weeks now. Personal terms were never an issue. Amrabat always wanted to join the Red Devils. However, both parties knew that for any other Manchester United signing to happen, there has to be an outgoing one.

Manchester United waited patiently for Fred Rodriguez and Harry Maguire’s departure so that they could move for Sofyan Amrabat and a new center-back. Fred joined Fenerbahçe, but Harry Maguire has insisted that he’ll remain at the club, despite an agreement to transfer to Westham for £30 million.

Hence, it has become significantly difficult for Manchester United to complete the Sofyan Amrabat deal, and now Liverpool is looking to explore the situation to hijack it, as they did with Cody Gakpo.

Which Premier League team do you think will be able to land the Moroccan midfielder? Make sure to let us know in the comments section.
