The highly anticipated crossover boxing bout between Logan Paul and Dillon Danis concluded with the former Disney star emerging victorious over Danis. Paul won by DQ after Danis went for a guillotine choke in the sixth round of the bout.
In the aftermath of the bout, Paul did his 395th episode for his ‘Impaulsive’ podcast with Mike Majlak. Paul talked a lot about the bout that recently concluded and explained about his future in combat sports. He also delved into personal matters pertaining to his relationship with Nina Agdal.
Logan Paul declines Dillon Danis’ MMA offer
Preluding their bout at the Prime Card, Danis, and Paul engaged in a trash talk that resulted in Paul offering to accept a bout in MMA post their boxing bout only if Danis offers his full purse in the event. Danis and Paul recently engaged in an X banter with regard to this.
Danis tweeted on X, “Logan keeps his end of the deal and signs a MMA fight I’ll give him my purse.” Logan Paul responded to Danis on his podcast. He said, “He doesn’t deserve the platform. We saw the kind of person he is.” Moreover, during the post-fight speech, Paul also gave out his plans of competing against Rey Mysterio on WWE.
Danis on the other hand in his recent interview with Piers Morgan expressed his future plans. The Jiu-Jitsu ace said that he would want to be with the UFC. He further explained that his promotional capabilities would get the attention of the UFC brass and would ultimately result in him becoming a champion in the promotion.
The overall sentiment is that Danis performed poorly at the event and his chances of getting another fight are dimmed. This is considering the fact that he has a very close relationship with the UFC’s biggest star, Conor McGregor. Danis was the Jiu-Jitsu coach of Conor McGregor and was also part of the post-fight melee at UFC 229.
Logan Paul apologies to his fiancé Nina Agdal
In the recent episode of his acclaimed, widely viewed podcast, ‘Impaulsive’ podcast, Logan Paul publicly apologized to his fiancee, Nina Agdal. Agdal was targeted by Dillon Danis on social media preluding the Prime Card bout. Danis posted pictures of Agdal with her ex-boyfriends, predominantly on platform X (former Twitter).
Paul had earlier said that he had no remorse for accepting Danis as an opponent. Moreover, he even said that he forgave Danis in his post-fight speech with Ariel Helwani. The social media antics from Danis had earlier resulted in a restraining order and a defamation lawsuit. Whether Paul and Agdal will continue with the lawsuit remains to be seen.
In the aftermath of the event, many including Andrew Schulz called for Paul to drop the lawsuit. Many are of the opinion that even though what Danis did is morally wrong, suing a fighter and building a fight is also not the right thing to do. Many including the likes of Brendan Schaub and Chael Sonnen came to Danis’ defense when the news of the lawsuit broke out.
Paul has already announced his future plan to continue his WWE career. He is targeting a matchup with Rey Mysterio. Vince McMahon and Paul Levesque a.k.a Triple H have already praised Paul’s exceptional professional wrestling prowess. Rey Mysterio is a big name in the WWE circuit and is also one of the best heels as of now.
