Logan Paul won his match against Kevin Owens for the United States Championship. Another person who emerged victorious in the Royal Rumble was Cody Rhodes, who got his second consecutive win in the Battle Royal. After Cody was sidelined due to the Rock’s appearance, Paul shared his opinion about the future event.
In the recent edition of SmackDown, The Rock confronted Roman Reigns, teasing a potential match between ‘The Big Dog’ and ‘The Great One’ at the upcoming WrestleMania 40 event. The current U.S champion, Logan Paul, has made it clear who he is supporting after his latest Twitter post.
Logan Paul wants Cody Rhodes vs Roman Reigns
Cody Rhodes made history after he won the Royal Rumble 2024 match by eliminating CM Punk. He was defeated by Roman Reigns in WrestleMania 39 and was supposed to face the ‘Head of the Table’ this April on WrestleMania 40. However, all of that changed when Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson made a surprising appearance during SmackDown’s February 2 episode.
According to the rumors, Rock will face Roman Reigns at the event on Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. WWE fans have made their disappointment obvious with this choice, as Cody and Roman deserve to have a second match after their last encounter in 2023. Fans are not the only ones who have spoken about Rhodes being replaced by Johnson. Logan Paul has recently posted on Twitter expressing his desire for the Cody Rhodes vs. Roman Reigns match.
Logan Paul was once great friends with the Rock but they later had a fallout due to an incident relating to Paul’s Youtube video. He explained the incident to WWE star John Cena during his podcast.
During the IMPAULSIVE interview with John Cena, Logan said, “We made content together, went mega-viral with 70 million views and 50 million views, and linked up a couple of times. I would have considered us acquaintances, at least. We were just great, and then Japan happened. I hurt him so much that he basically wanted nothing to do with me, and rightfully so, so I knew I let myself down, I knew I let my fans down, and I knew I let my family down, but my idol too. Man, it just stung so bad, and it wasn’t like I got the call from him.”
Is Logan Paul booked for WrestleMania 40?
Logan Paul last defended his United States Championship against Kevin Owens at Royal Rumble on January 27. Some fans have speculated that Paul will likely face ‘The Megastar’ LA Knight at the upcoming event of WrestleMania 40. Knight lost his last match, which was a fatal-4-way match against Roman Reigns.
Hall of Famer Eric Bischoff gave his view on the Paul vs Knight in the 83 Weeks podcast. He said, “Everything I just said previously about two ascending stars just went out the window because I didn’t consider the belt transition,” Bischoff stated. “So, yeah, I could see it. It does make sense. I would love to see LA Knight continuing to ascend. I don’t wanna see him stall out.”
