Logan Paul recreates Dillon Danis microphone incident with Rey Mysterio in anticipation of WWE Crown Jewel 2023 clash

WWE United States Champion Rey Mysterio is scheduled to defend his title against Logan Paul at Crown Jewel this week. In a recent faceoff between the two, the Hall of Famer recreated a notable incident that occurred between Paul and his recent boxing opponent, Dillon Danis.

Logan Paul and Dillon Danis recently squared off in a boxing match at Misfits Boxing – The PRIME card. Towards the end of their match, Danis attempted a guillotine choke on Paul, resulting in his disqualification and Paul’s victory.

Months before their match actually took place, Dillon Danis was engaged in a heated social media back-and-forth with Logan Paul. Danis targeted Paul’s fiancé Nina Agdal in his social media rants, where he often brought up her past dating history. One time things got out of hand during a confrontation between the two stars, as Danis hit the YouTube star with a microphone shot to the head, which almost put their match in jeopardy.

In a recent faceoff between Rey Mysterio and Logan Paul before their eventual clash at Crown Jewel, the two superstars got into a heated exchange, which quickly escalated into a brawl. At one point, Mysterio decided to recreate Dillon Danis’ move and hit Paul in the head with a microphone. This marked the second time that the YouTube star has been attacked with a microphone in a confrontation.

Dillon Danis replies to Logan Paul’s WWE skit

Following Rey Mysterio hitting the Maverick on the head with a microphone, Dillon Danis was apparently delighted to see the incident being recreated. He took to X(formerly Twitter) to share his thoughts on the matter.

In one tweet, Danis wrote, “imitation is the sincerest form of flattery”, which refers to the fact that WWE ‘imitated’ the real incident that took place between him and Paul. In another tweet that has since been deleted, ‘El Jefe’ called out WWE for recreating the microphone incident and accused the YouTube star of being obsessed with their rivalry.

Dillon Danis has been constantly taking shots at Logan Paul ever since his defeat last month. Danis has advocated for a rematch between the two, although the likelihood of it happening is low. In the past, he has also criticized WWE for being “fake,” which garnered significant attention.

It appears that Dillon Danis is unlikely to cease his social media antics in the near future. He is primarily recognized for his online trolling and holds an MMA fight record of 2-0. It will be intriguing to observe the trajectory of his career from this point onward.
