In his recent appearance in a preseason matchup game against the Timberwolves, the Mavericks star managed to put on a show for a few minutes. However, Doncic has given fans some hope going into the new season. He reportedly updated about his health status after his first practice at training camp.
Luka Doncic provides an update on his thigh injury
Luka Doncic‘s injury forced him to miss five consecutive games which landed the Mavs’ post-season hopes in jeopardy. According to a video posted on X (Twitter) by Fadeaway World, Luka Doncic spoke to the media and revealed his health status, complaining about injuries during the FIBA World Cup.
He said, “My injury is way better. It’s improving every day. About my offense, I don’t know. I’ve been playing basketball for a very long time, so maybe it’s that.” As reported by Fadeaway World.
Luka Doncic had hard times in the FIBA World Cup, as the tournament as he continued to play with injuries. During the FIBA World Cup playing for Slovenia, Luka averaged 27 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 6.1 assists per game.
Recently, in a pre-season game against the Timberwolves, he managed to play only 16 minutes on the court. Though Luka Doncic wasn’t the only player who didn’t play in the second half, Kyrie Irving was among them. The action by the Mavericks suggested that they were looking to rest their stars for the long season ahead, even though, they cut a 23-point deficit to just five points in the third quarter.

The star point guard was one of the two Dallas players who scored in double digits, with Jaden Hardy being the other. Luka Doncic performed really well in his few minutes on the court as he averaged 25 points, 5 rebounds, and 57% FG.
Doncic is one of the most prolific players in the league and an absolute stud in every format. He knows exactly what to do with the ball once he gets it as an offensive wizard. Luka Doncic has therefore proven to be a valuable asset to the Mavericks Dallas anytime he is on the court.
