Mark Zuckerberg wants to “move on” from potential Elon Musk bout, alleging $232 billion CEO fails to be serious on facing him despite UFC president Dana White’s best efforts

The excitement around the anticipated showdown between Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg has already been reduced to atoms due to the lack of any developments.

Despite generating significant interest, including proposals from Dana White to host the event, the CEO of Meta has decided to shift his focus away from the high-profile fight and prioritize other pressing matters in his life.

Mark Zuckerberg confirms bout vs Elon Musk to be canceled

Right from the start, Zuckerberg demonstrated his true commitment to the fight against Musk. However, Musk’s cancellation of the proposed date, citing a scheduled surgery, didn’t sit well with Zuckerberg.

Zuck expressed his dissatisfaction on his recently launched platform called Threads to level allegations against Elon for putting the future of the fight in jeopardy.

“I think we can all agree Elon isn’t serious and it’s time to move on. Dana White offered to make this a legit competition for charity. Elon won’t confirm a date, then says he needs surgery, and now asks to do a practice round in my backyard instead,” Zuckerberg said.

The Facebook Head not only proposed a specific date (26th August) but also showcased his dedication through intense training sessions, sharing photos on his social media featuring UFC champions such as Israel Adesanya and Alexander Volkanovski as his training partners.

“If Elon ever gets serious about a real date and official event, he knows how to reach me. Otherwise, time to move on. I’m going to focus on competing with people who take the sport seriously,” Zuckerberg added.

Did Dana White offer to host Mark Zuckerberg vs Elon Musk in UFC?

Initially, there existed a possibility that the UFC might host the highly anticipated battle, with Dana White expressing keen interest in orchestrating this electrifying clash.

Despite its potential to break numerous pay-per-view records, the CEO of SPACE X later officially announced that the bout isn’t going to take place within the regulations of the UFC.

The CEO of Tesla Inc. also confirmed that the fight’s management and live streaming would be under his and Zuckerberg’s foundations and platforms, rather than being overseen by the UFC.
