Seemingly, the Premier League giants want to wait until the summer, when the loan deal is completed, to witness an increase in the player’s value. He is under contract with the club until 2026, and the majority of his £75k weekly salary is being covered by United during his stay in Spain.
Meanwhile, the door for him to resume his career at Old Trafford is also open, along with the possibility of a summer sale in 2024. The Spanish club took a risk in the summer by bringing in the English winger despite the player’s negative image due to controversy and an extended period of inactivity.

According to The Sun, Spanish champions Barcelona are also leading the race with substantial interest in monitoring the winger’s situation. The Catalan side has even sent scouts to watch Mason Greenwood in action in Getafe’s three fixtures.
Also, the player has settled quite well in Madrid, and it wouldn’t pose many problems for him to consider a permanent stay in Spain.
