Max Verstappen’s father brutally slams Helmut Marko’s critique of F1 champ’s performance: “No idea what he means”

Max Verstappen’s near perfect season made it seem the Dutch lion is flawless and he is the example of what means to be best in racing. The general opinion of F1 community sums up Max as dominant and talented, but that’s not the case with Verstappen’s mentors.

Earlier, Helmut Marko, who is otherwise incredibly supportive of his drivers, suggested a mistake that Max Verstappen needs to overcome in order to get even better in the upcoming seasons. His words didn’t sit well with someone equally important in Max’s life and the latter retorted at Marko for making stories.

Helmut Marko earlier exposed the key weakness of Max Verstappen as his sheer impatience, and said he needs to get better of these emotions in order to keep improving. Jos Verstappen doesn’t agree too well with Marko on this note, claiming that Max Verstappen is actually a much-composed driver. “I have no idea what he means,” Jos Verstappen told.

“I think this year has been so strong and every race he is 100 per cent there and that is the most important thing. Yesterday it was difficult in the third practice session but everything was perfect again in qualifying and that is the strength of Max but also of his racing engineer, who understands what he needs and that’s just great.”
