Micah Parsons silences Stephen A. Smith’s Dak Prescott bashing: “Defense wins championships”

For the Dallas Cowboys and their fans spread across the country, this was not a season to remember. After showing lots of promise at the beginning of the season, Dak Prescott and his band of merry men went off the boil and never managed to meet the expectations that they had set back in the first few weeks.

Micah Parsons defends Dak Prescott

In a recent conversation with TV analyst Stephen A Smith, 24-year-old Micah Parsons talked about why the Dallas Cowboys haven’t been able to reach their potential. When Smith pointed out that Dak Prescott has been the QB for the Cowboys for eight years now without winning any significant titles, Micah Parsons provided reasoning as to why Prescott hasn’t been able to perform to the best of his abilities.

He said, “And how many years has he had a top defense? Defense wins championships. In the last three years, we had a top-10 defense, but before those, when did he have a top defense? Before Dan Quinn and I got there and all the rookies and free agents got there?”

Micah Parsons brutally slams Stephen A. Smith

Even after defending Dak Prescott for his performances throughout the season, Stephen A Smith kept hammering down the fact that Prescott still ranked lower than all of the top quarterbacks in the league, despite being one of the highest-paid in the business. After a long time, Micah Parsons clapped back again, and this time he left no scope for a comeback for Smith.

Parsons tried to prove the fact that as long as a team does not win the Super Bowl championship, the rest of their achievements do not matter. He took the example of Lamar Jackson, while Stephen A Smith tried to make him understand that getting to the Super Bowl is a remarkable feat in itself. However, Micah Parsons ended the conversation by saying that participation medals do not matter to him.
