Michael Chandler issues intense warning to Conor McGregor ahead of their UFC fight: “I finish Conor and end his career”

Michael Chandler showed the MMA community that he is never backing down from any challenge, no matter what the stakes. The former Bellator champion signed with the UFC with one spirit, i.e., to give entertainment to the fans.

From Michael Chandler’s fights, everyone has witnessed how aggressive he is while charging towards his opponent, even though the bruises are intense on his face. The best part of Chandler’s striking is that even if he loses, he is ready to do some damage to his opponent. Once again, “Iron” has made a big statement for his upcoming fight.

Michael Chandler makes a bold prediction for the Conor McGregor fight

The bout has already been announced by the biggest star of the UFC on the last day of 2023. Conor McGregor announced it will be June 29th when the former UFC champion will be making his comeback. But there are some claims Michael Chandler came up with what McGregor is asking for.

Chandler said the 35-year-old is asking for a 3-round fight, but “Iron” wants a 5-round fight for their potential bout taking place in the 6th month of the year. Though Conor didn’t make any comment on it, before the matchup, the 37-year-old sent an intense warning.

On his YouTube channel, Michael Chandler made a big statement, regarding ending the career of Conor McGregor, and that too in the first two rounds only. Chandler warned, “It’s going to be a big card, it’s going to be fun, and I finish Conor within the first two rounds and after that probably end his career.”

‘Iron’ also said this time he will be breaking “The Notorious” will and also be breaking his jaw. “There’s just too much more than what people think about on a surface level. I want battlegrounds of epic proportions; I want to stand in the cage with that man; I want to break that man’s will; I want to break his jaw,” Chandler added.

Michael Chandler is also coming after a big loss against Dustin Poirier, but his career stats so far in the UFC—2 wins and 4 losses—have put him on big hold for his next bout.

Michael Chandler responds to Conor McGregor’s June 29 callout

“Iron,” after getting to know about McGregor’s 29th June callout, has given his thoughts on why the former lightweight champion is asking for a 185-pounder fight, not a 170. According to Michael Chandler, Conor wants to maintain his narrative of being bigger in the game.

“There are two reasons why it is at 185. Number one, Conor wants to continue the narrative that he is bigger than he actually is. You guys think he is bigger. That is the number one. Number two, you gotta remember UFC 274. I kicked Tony Ferguson’s head clean off, and I got on the microphone and called out Conor.I want to fight you at 170.”

Later, he also mentioned the kick he gave to Tony Ferguson at UFC 274 and his callout to make a fight at 170, which gave him chills.

“So naturally, Conor can’t say the fight is at 155. Because he wants you guys to think he is too big to make 155, which is not true. And he also can’t say it is at 170 because that would mean he is not in control because I originally called the fight at 170. So naturally, he says 185.”

Conor McGregor can’t make 155 pounds in a short time frame, and for a 170-pound fight, he will say yes that easily, but at 185, he will be able to maintain his control over the fight as per Michael Chandler’s statement.
