Michael Chandler takes a page from The Rock’s book to slam Conor McGregor: “Get your candy a** back to the octagon”

Michael Chandler is eagerly awaiting his chance to return to the UFC cage after hearing Conor McGregor’s name as a potential opponent. Chandler doesn’t want to delay any longer for the blockbuster fight against the UFC star fighter and once again, he’s calling McGregor out in “The Rock” style.

Chandler, known for his explosive fights and enlightening callouts, seized another opportunity to challenge his opponent to step into the Octagon as soon as possible. He did so at the WWE Raw Monday night event, grabbing the mic to make his intentions clear.

The former Bellator lightweight champion has already been away from UFC octagon fights for more than 16 months. Despite being fit, frustrated Chandler regularly makes comments about his comeback against Conor McGregor, who is actually returning from a leg injury after 3 years.

Michael consistently tried to get into the UFC 300 card, but McGregor, being one of the biggest MMA stars, “does what he wants.”

Once again, making an effort to get Into the UFC octagon at the earliest, Michael Chandler took to the stage of WWE Raw. Chandler expressed his frustration using The Rock’s iconic style of callout, stating, “Hey, now there’s a man from Ireland who has been making me wait for way too long. And I’ve still got one dude on my mind: Conor McGregor. Get your candy ass back to the Octagon; we’ve got some unfinished business, boys. God bless; I’ll see you at the top!”

It’s not just Chandler, but fans as well, who are eagerly awaiting the return of the UFC star to see if he still has what it takes to perform in a big matchup.

Both Dana White and Michael Chandler are uncertain about when the richest MMA starfighter will make his return. Chandler anticipated his own name and “the Notorious” to be included in Dana White’s UFC 298 backstage UFC 300 fight card announcement. However, after the news on Saturday night at WWE, he must be frustrated with being overlooked for almost a year and a half.

White himself had to explain fans the reasons behind McGregor’s delay in return, “First problem was that he broke that shin bone… The other problem is, he’s f**ing rich… Conor McGregor has got a lot of money… Money complicates a lot of things. He just filmed a movie. He’s got to do the press for the movie and he’s got obligations with that. He does want to fight this year. But we’ll see what happens.”

While praising Conor McGregor, Michael Chandler also expressed disappointment in not receiving confirmation from the former UFC dual champion’s side. Despite this setback, Dana White still has one or two cards left to reveal for UFC 300, giving hope that this fight could still take place on April 13th.
