MJF swerves fans with gym playlist reveal in possible callback to acclaimed promo about switching seats with deceased woman

MJF is one of the top superstars of AEW and was one of the first superstars to sign with Tony Khan’s promotion. He quickly rose to the top, becoming one of the most popular superstars worldwide with his top notch in-ring skills and borderline controversial promos.

It looks like MJF is a big fan of Swerve Strickland, aka Swerve The Realest. The Salt of The Earth recently shared a clip on Twitter of him working out, which prompted the fan question of what he listens to during his workouts. It was then that the AEW World Champ revealed his go-to song for the gym.

MJF reveals his gym playlist

AEW World Champion MJF recently took to social media to share a video of him working out at the gym. A fan responded to the clip, asking the AEW star what he listens to during his workouts.

The 27-year-old superstar simply said, “I swerve when I drive” to the fans questions. This was a direct reference to a song name ‘Big Pressure’ by Swerve The Realest, aka Swerve Strickland, which is also his entrance music in AEW.

In a response to the post, Prince Nana took to Twitter to share a picture of himself alongside MJF, who was hitting Nana’s signature dancing pose, which goes hand in hand with Strickland’s song. Both superstars were also seen wearing his AEW T-shirt. Swerve Strickland also participated in the conversation, sharing the same picture, saying “Maxwell knows ball”.

MJF’s promo about rash driving

MJF’s recent tweet, where he responded with, “I swerve when I drive” to a fans question which can also be interpreted in another sense. On the February 8 episode of AEW Dynamite, the 27-year-old superstar cut a controversial promo where he told a story of a time when he got into a car accident when he was younger.

According to MJF, there was a girl named Liv who was apparently his high school crush. He had described her as ‘perfect’ and recalled the time when he had asked her out to go on a ride with him in his Camaro.

He was driving the car at the time, when he suddenly decided to speed it up a little bit. What followed was an unfortunate accident, which was due to him accidentally hitting the accelerator instead of the brakes, and the car went crashing into an electric pole.

When MJF regained consciousness, he found himself covered in blood and the girl beside him to be severely injured. Luckily, he found that she was still breathing. When he heard police sirens coming his way, he quickly dragged the girl’s lifeless body and placed her in the driver’s seat, so as to trick the authorities into thinking that she was the one driving recklessly.

As expected, the promo was made up to get the fans to hate on MJF’s character. As of now, he is the World Champion of the company and has a major match against Juice Robinson at AEW Dynamite this week. Stay tuned for further updates on MJF and AEW.
