Sonya Deville, also known as Daria Rae Berenato, recently tied the knot with her fiancée and longtime girlfriend Toni Cassano. The ceremony was officiated by Maria Menounos, and the wedding was attended by 140 guests at The Legacy Castle in Deville’s home state of New Jersey on Saturday, February 10.
Sonya Deville marries lesbian partner
Sonya Deville has officially tied the knot with her girlfriend Toni Cassano. The pair first met at a WWE show and later spent a good time in a bar drinking and eating after the event. Last year in February, the couple got engaged and proposed to each other at the same time.
During an interview Sonya reminiscences about the incident. She said, “I proposed, then Toni’s like, ‘Grab my purse.’ And she pulls out a freaking ring box. She’s like, ‘I’ve been carrying this around in my purse for four months. So whenever you proposed, I could give you a ring immediately back.’”
“To be able to show her and her two daughters how much they all mean to me was what this proposal was all about,” Deville continued. “They are my world and now we are one family forever together”.
Sonya Deville married her fiancée Toni Cassano at The Legacy Castle in Deville’s home state of New Jersey on Saturday. During an exclusive session with PEOPLE, Sonya, ahead of the wedding said, “I think we have two and a half tables or three tables of just WWE people. We have our neighbors coming and old family friends, and so it’s like this big wrestler next to my little neighbor. There’s going to be some funny pairings there.”

Sonya Deville joined WWE in 2015 and was the first openly gay female wrestler in the company’s history. A lot of WWE talents attended Sonya Deville’s marriage ceremony, among them was former WWE Superstar Mandy Rose. Sonya and Mandy were the closest friends in WWE as they spent years as tag team partners.
Other WWE talents include ‘The Role Model’ Bayley, ‘The EST of WWE’ Bianca Belair, Montez Ford, ‘The Queen’ Charlotte Flair, Andrade El Idolo, Liv Morgan, and Chelsea Green. Some other current and former WWE employees also attended the occasion. Employees like former WWE NXT backstage interviewer McKenzie Mitchell and former WWE wrestler Matt Cardona were also present at the ceremony.
