NBA legend Dwight Howard’s baby mama Royce Reed claims married Shaquille O’Neal once flirted with her

Royce Reed is an actress and reality TV personality who became famous after she made appearances in movies like ‘First Lady’ and ‘Call Time’. Reed also starred in a reality show called ‘Basketball Wives’. Dwight Howard, meanwhile, is in the center of controversy owing to a sexual allegation case against him.

Her relationship outside of the entertainment community with Los Angeles Lakers star Dwight Legend Howard has been in the headline news for several months during the time. However, Reed recently revealed a shocking story involving another Lakers legend.

Royce Reed claims married Shaquille O’Neal once flirted with her

Royce Reed, Dwight Howard’s former girlfriend and the mother of his child, alleged that Shaquille O’Neal flirted with her while he was married to Shaunie Anderson. Reed has been in the news recently for sharing insights into her relationship with Howard, who is facing a sexual assault case.

During an interview on Carlos King’s YouTube channel, Reed revealed her experiences while appearing on the reality TV series “Basketball Wives.” It was during this conversation that she disclosed receiving flirtatious messages from Shaq when he was still married to Shaunie, who also happens to be a producer for the show.

“I had sent her a thread where her ex-husband had been texting me,” Royce Reed said. “Nothing ever happened. He actually cursed me out cause I didn’t want to talk to him. I wanted everything out to be in the open. I wanted her to see everything so if anything happened or said, she’d knew it wasn’t true.”

Royce Reed clarified that Shaquille O’Neal began flirting with her when she was still a dancer for the Miami Heat. Reed was a part of “Basketball Wives” from Season 1 to 4, spanning from 2010 to 2013. She had previously worked as a cheerleader for the Miami Heat during the 2006-07 NBA season and O’Neal was then playing for the Heat.

Reed mentioned that she had a conversation with Shaunie O’Neal about the situation while filming “Basketball Wives.” However, she felt that she couldn’t confide in Shaunie anymore as other cast members on the show began to inquire about what had transpired. Despite the challenges she faced, Reed managed to stay on the show for all four seasons.

Shaquille O’Neal brutally responds to Royce Reed’s claim

Following the shocking revelation made by Royce Reed during an interview on Carlos King’s YouTube channel, Reed’s statements rapidly gained widespread attention.

Royce Reed’s comment attracted Shaquille O’Neal who promptly reacted suggesting that she might be in need of money. Shaq commented, “Uh somebody needs money,” insinuating that she was trying to pursue cash out of the Lakers legend.

It’s important to note that O’Neal did not explicitly dispute her assertions. Shaquille O’Neal and Shaunie were married from 2002 to 2011, and they share four children. O’Neal openly admitted to his marital infidelity in a podcast episode last year and referred to himself as a serial cheater.

Shaquille O’Neal was a part of the Miami Heat from 2004 to 2008, coinciding with Royce Reed’s time as a dancer there. An intriguing aspect of this situation is that Reed was previously in a relationship with Dwight Howard, and they have a son named Braylon, born on November 18, 2007. Whether Reed’s assertions are true and if Shaq will admit it, remains to be seen.
