The Los Angeles Clippers took on the Utah Jazz in their NBA preseason opener at the Stan Sheriff Center but suffered a 96-101 defeat. In a game where Russell Westbrook sat out, the Clippers couldn’t find their rhythm and fell short.

Although Westbrook sat out, his presence was still felt as he received a heartwarming welcome from the Clippers fans. The highly anticipated matchup between the rival teams added an extra layer of excitement to the event.

The Clippers began the game with great energy, taking an early lead in the first quarter followed by the same in the second. Led by their star player Kawhi Leonard (11 pts and 1 ast) and new rookie Nah’Shon Hyland (18 pts and 4 ast), they displayed exceptional teamwork and coordination, executing impressive plays and shots. However, as the game progressed, the Jazz showcased their resilience and determination, chipping away at the Clippers’ lead.

Whilst in Downtown Memphis, Tennessee, the Memphis Grizzlies emerged victorious in their first preseason game against the Indiana Pacers in what was a thrilling matchup that had fans on the edge of their seats.

The game, which went into overtime, ended with a final score of 127-122 in favor of the Grizzlies. From the opening tip-off, both teams displayed an impressive level of competitiveness and skill. The Grizzlies took an early lead, but the Pacers caught up from the 3rd quarter, making it quite a battle till the very end. Memphis Grizzlies Jaren Jackson Jr (18 pts 2 ast) and Desmond Bane (17 pts and 4 ast) were the key players in their victory leading them all the way to the OT. During the overtime, the Grizzlies turned up the intensity, outscoring the Pacers and ultimately securing the victory.

While Ja Morant wasn’t part of the team, Derrick Rose made an impactful debut, and hope he continues to prosper with his new team. The NBA has started off with excitement and uproar from the fans and best belief and hopes the season ahead doesn’t disappoint them.
