NBA Rumors: Warriors contemplate trading Chris Paul after just six months to keep playoff hope alive

The trading season has kicked in again and the rumors have started to circulate about the players who could see a potential trade. The Warriors player Chris Paul is the highlight of today as some rumors suggest that the Warriors might trade him.

The Timberwolves star Karl-Anthony Towns is also surrounded by a rumored move to the New York Knicks but setting that aside CP3’s days at the Bay Area might end after just staying there for six months.

Chris Paul trade rumors

It was recently reported that the Golden State Warriors guard Chris Paul could see himself involved in a potential trade. Paul hasn’t been with the Dubs for very long, as he arrived at the Bay Area just six months prior after the Dubs traded Jordan Poole for the point God.

Since his arrival, CP3 has been a key rotational player for the Warriors and has contributed to the team as much as he could. However, the injuries have held him back from participating in games regularly and the Warriors themselves are not having a great season so far. NBA Trade Report reported the rumor on their official X account.

They said that the Warriors would be looking to move Chris Paul before the NBA trade deadline and that two Eastern Conference teams have already shown interest in acquiring him. If the rumors turn out to be true it would give the Dubs financial flexibility and some space in the cap to bring in a more suitable talent or save the spot for the draft this year.

Warriors in danger of missing NBA playoffs

The Golden State Warriors are not having the best regular season right now and are currently ranked in the tenth position in the Western Conference with a record of 17-18. Their recent loss to the Denver Nuggets was a disaster to witness the Dubs blew away an eighteen-point lead in the fourth quarter to Nikola Jokic’s team.

If the situation does not get better, the Warriors likely won’t qualify for the NBA Playoffs this season. The mid-season is almost on the horizon with only 47 games to go for the Dubs before it ends.

“This is a tough one,” said Steve Kerr, the head coach of the Warriors after their loss against the Nuggets. Kerr’s statements indicate the seriousness of the situation and also point toward the possibility that the GSW might not qualify for the Playoffs if things don’t change.

What do you think of Chris Paul trade rumors? Do you think that the Warriors will be able to make it to the playoffs? We are eager to know your thoughts, so drop down in the comments and let us know.
