As a member of the San Antonio Spurs, the rookie Victor Wembanyama put up a good performance during the summer league. He has also instantly bonded with his teammates, especially Jeremy Sochan.

Wembanyama’s choice to change his hairdo stands in stark contrast to his prior desire to avoid the limelight. However, this decision has brought him back into the spotlight. A peek of Wembanyama’s potential contributions to the Spurs in the 2023-24 season was provided by his debut during the NBA 2024 Summer League, despite his limited on-court performances.
While his new hair color is a welcome departure, Dennis Rodman, who ironically also played for San Antonio, will always be remembered as the player who popularized the dyed appearance.
NBA fans troll the Spurs star’s new colors
The Spurs have only just started declared incorporating 2023 NBA first overall pick Victor Wembanyama into the starting lineup, but he is already bonding closely with his new teammates. In a recent social media post, Jeremy Sochan, a unique character renowned for his vivid hair choices, highlighted how Wembanyama accepts and celebrates him.
Wembanyama’s natural hair color is black, but in the viral video, he can be seen dying his hair white with a bright purple highlight. Wembanyama appears to have been inspired to branch out in terms of his personal style by Sochan, who has worn several different colorful wigs both on and off the court, including during his time as a collegiate basketball player at Baylor.
As the Spurs’ youthful talents form these one-of-a-kind friendships, NBA fans have started making light of the team’s unusual color scheme in creative ways. Here is what they had to say.
