Tom Brady’s Buccs jersey sold for $1.4 million

The MeiGray Group took the initiative to give Tom Brady’s fans another chance to show their love and affection for the retired player. The group placed Tom Terrific’s game-worn jersey from the final game of his 23-year football career at Sotheby’s auction.

The player, who never fell short of entertaining his fans with his footing, received an enormous devotion from his fans as his jersey was sold for a record $1,391,000 on Saturday.

The 46-year-old wore the jersey in the second half of his final game, a 31-14 setback to the Dallas Cowboys in the 2022 NFC Divisional Round, according to Bleacher Report.

The supporters had previously displayed their insanity to honor Tom Brady’s legacy. Before that, they allowed the NFL legend to record on Fanatics the best-selling jersey in the league for the 2020–21 campaign. The former Bucs player also records a new record for the most football shirts sold in a single year by Fanatics, the team’s official shop.

Looking back at Tom Brady’s time with Buccs

Following a 20 seasons’ marvelous run, Tom Brady was about to quit his play. The superstar suddenly stunned his fans by signing a two-year deal with the Bucs on March 20, 2020. The move saw him reunite with Rob Gronkowski as Gronk came out of retirement to join his former teammate.

However, Brady’s first shot in Tampa Bay was not a phenomenal one, seeing the team lose against the New Orleans Saints. Soon, the former Patriots player appeared with all his athleticism, snatching three consecutive wins, before closing his first stint with a Covid-19 lockdown.

During their time with the Bucs, Brady-Gronk duo set the record for most touchdown passes. It tied at 100 passes with Peyton Manning and Marvin Harrison. After helping the Bucs to overcome a 13-year playoff drought and almost two decades of Super Bowl drought, Tom Brady chose to end his NFL journey with the Bucs this offseason.

Though before that he declared his retirement following his second season in Tampa Bay, he changed his mind after 40 days of his decision. Nevertheless, this time seemingly he is adamant about his decision, though, the Las Vegas Raiders tried their utmost to claim him
