The NBA All-Star weekend has kicked off in full swing, and the most recent event was the NBA All-Star Celebrity Game, which garnered a lot of attention. Over the years, numerous NFL players have participated in this special fixture.
In this article, we will take a look at the NFL players who have taken part in the NBA’s celebrity game. Popular analyst Stephen A. Smith was also a part of the event but he got himself injured ahead of the game.
Who are the NFL players to have participated in NBA All-Star Celebrity game?
The NFL and the NBA are two of the most popular sports leagues in the United States. It is always fun to witness the events when players from these leagues participate in events hosted by other leagues.
Over the years, a lot of NFL players have participated in the NBA All-Star Celebrity Game and the most prominent ones among them are Deion Sanders, Steve Smith, Terrell Owens, DK Metcalf, and Puka Nacua.

The aforementioned players did surprisingly well in their time as basketball players in the special NBA fixture. Other NFL players who have participated in the event are Reggie Bush, LaDaninian Tomlinson, Anthony Adams, Kareem Hunt, Calvin Johnson, Myles Garrett, Mecole Hardman, CJ Stroud, and Micah Parsons.
Micah Parsons steals the show at NBA All-Star Celebrity game
For this year the coaches selected for the two All-Star celebrity teams were NFL icon Shannon Sharpe and ESPN’s analyst Stephen A. Smith. Sharpe’s team was able to secure the win while Smith had to taste bitter defeat.
Dallas Cowboys linebacker Micah Parson was a big reason for the victory of Sharpe’s side. He dominated the entire game and boasted a similar playstyle as the Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo and Lakers ace LeBron James.
Parson was named the MVP of the NBA All-Star Celebrity game for his dominant performance. He scored 37 points and had 16 rebounds, he stunned the audience as he scored 19 points in the second half alone.
However, the taste of defeat did not sit well with Smith as he became salty. He accused the match officials of being fans of the Cowboys after he lost the game.
