NFL Rumors: Robert Kraft reportedly not scared to sack legendary coach Bill Belichick if Patriots continue to disappoint

Bill Belichick started his head coaching job with the New York Giants as the youngest head coach in the NFL and gained much recognition as the HC of the New England Patriots. However, it dashed after their legend Tom Brady left New England. Since then, Belichick’s luck has been tied to a losing streak, and this year is no exception.

As the Patriots continue to struggle with on-field challenges, the looming question of Belichick’s future with the team has become a topic of intense speculation among fans and NFL analysts. Amid this, one NFL analyst came out with a bold prediction for the head coach’s job security in New England.

Robert Kraft is not afraid to fire Bill Belichick

After the departure of Brady, questions arose regarding the level of contribution Tom Terrific left to adorn the coaching career of Bill Belichick. The losing skid of the Patriots now provides backing for the rumors that were formerly the subject of the greatest debate.

Following the team’s losing streak, Jeff Howe of The Athletic sees the tenure of the Patriots’ head coach as possibly coming to an end. The reporter believes the notion that, in spite of Bill’s losing streak, the Patriots’ owner Robert Kraft will pay no heed to it and back their two-decade head coach. Kraft believes that the six-time Super Bowl winner’s accolades-filled resume would not be able to save the head coach’s job with the Patriots.

“Kraft likes to remind people he grew up as a Patriots fan during the organization’s darkest days. But that doesn’t mean he has the patience to endure more of them. On multiple occasions in recent years, he has lamented the team’s lack of a postseason victory in the post-Brady era. Kraft has grown frustrated, if not downright angry, over this shortage of success, according to people close to the situation.”

It is not the first time NFL analysts raised questions about Bill Belichick’s coaching prowess. Before that  Stephen A. Smith demanded a change in the Patriots general manager’s roster of duties.

Patriots poor start to NFL season under Bill Belichick

Since the beginning of the season, the New England Patriots have a horrible track record of trailing in practically every game. After a pair of lopsided losses, their poor play caused them to drop to 1-4.

With Brady no longer serving as the Patriots’ starter, Bill Belichick, who is in his 24th season as their coach, has had to endure even worse nightmares. The team has a dismal 0-2 start record since Brady’s departure. In addition, the age-defying coach, attempting to overtake Don Shula’s record for the most victories as a head coach, experienced his worst losing record during his two-decade stint with the Patriots in Week 4’s 38-3 defeat to the Dallas Cowboys.

In their next week’s game against the Saints, the 71-year-old met the second-worst 0-34 defeat of his coaching career. Almost all of Belichick’s strategies have been falling which led him to bench his starter Mac Jones in both of the Patriot’s last two games.

In spite of all these contentious situations, the long-tenured coach is looking for a strong start in their matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders next week. Do you believe his team will be able to recover for their Week 6 matchup?
