NFL Wild Card: Is AJ Brown going to play in Eagles vs Bucs clash?

The NFL playoff season is finally upon us. From now until the Super Bowl, NFL fanatics will get to see the best in the business battle it out against one another to take home the coveted Lombardi Trophy and the laurels that come along with it.

As for the Philadelphia Eagles, they would need to get past the hurdle of the Wild Card game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers before dreaming of a repeat of last year’s achievements. For that, it is imperative that all players are at 100% match fitness, which does not look likely for their star wide receiver AJ Brown. Let’s find out more.

AJ Brown going to play against Bucs?

The Philadelphia Eagles woke up to what they had dreaded over the last couple of days. Star wide receiver AJ Brown has officially been ruled out for the Wild Card game. For a team that has already been blowing hot and cold, losing one of the best offensive runners in the league would surely count as a huge blow.

His sprained knee had been a source of concern for many of the Eagles faithful as they looked eagerly towards their Monday night matchups against one of the most in-form teams in the Bucs. However, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have concerns of their own as their talismanic QB Baker Mayfield’s availability is still doubtful.

AJ Brown deleted his twitter and IG accounts

This game against the Buccaneers has a lot riding on its shoulders for both teams as they look to get their form going for the postseason with a win on the board. For the Eagles’ head coach, Nick Sirianni, the offensive side of the game is sure to become a headache soon enough as the team has been faltering of late.

Speaking on the unavailability of one of the key members on his side, Sirianni addressed the situation as calmly as possible. According to NBC Sports Philadelphia, he said, “It was going to be a stretch for A.J. to play. He did everything he possibly could to get himself ready. Obviously, y’all saw the reports. It’s not looking like he’s going to go. But he fought like crazy to try do everything he could do to do so, which doesn’t surprise me at all about A.J. He’s tough and he’d do anything for his teammates. Unfortunately, he won’t be able to rip it this week.”

Owing to concerns regarding his match fitness for this crucial game, AJ Brown has proceeded to delete all of his social media accounts including Instagram and X. What are your thoughts on this bizarre decision? Let us know in the comments below.
