The General Manager of SmackDown, Nick Aldis, has been a constant adversary to the Bloodline faction for quite some time now. His actions have provoked Roman Reigns to make some unflattering comments about him in a recent TikTok video.
The Tribal Chief expressed his desire to settle matters with Aldis, explaining that he didn’t like him. However, in response, Aldis pointed out that Roman should focus on his upcoming Royal Rumble 2024’s Fatal Four Way match instead of being distracted by him.
Nick Aldis’s advice to Roman Reigns
Former NWA superstar and SmackDown General Manager, Nick Aldis, has responded to recent comments made by Roman Reigns, the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion, regarding his dislike for Aldis. In recent weeks, a power struggle has emerged between Aldis, Reigns, Paul Heyman, and The Bloodline on SmackDown.
The tension between Nick and Roman escalated when Aldis made Reigns defend his title in a Fatal Four-Way match at the WWE Royal Rumble 2024 event. During a backstage video on the January 19 episode of SmackDown, Roman Reigns expressed his dislike for Nick Aldis.
The Tribal Chief said, “I don’t like him. We’re going to figure him out. We’re going to fix him.” In response to Reigns’ comments, Nick Aldis retweeted the video and advised Reigns to focus on his challengers at the Royal Rumble.
“IMHO, it might be in your best interest to focus on 3 elite level @WWE Superstars trying to take your title at the #RoyalRumble… LIVE This Saturday on @peacock,” wrote Nick Aldis.
At the upcoming Royal Rumble event, Roman Reigns will put his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship on the line against Randy Orton, LA Knight, and AJ Styles in a Fatal Four-Way match. In addition, Kevin Owens and Logan Paul will go head-to-head for the United States Championship.
Nick Aldis and Roman Reigns beef explored
Nick Aldis, a seasoned wrestler with experience in major promotions like TNA and the NWA, has achieved victory as the NWA World Heavyweight Champion. Despite being just 37 years old, he remains in prime shape and possesses the experience to be a top draw for WWE. The prospect of him facing the ‘Tribal Chief’ in the ring adds an intriguing layer.
As the General Manager of SmackDown, Aldis has positioned himself as an antagonist to Reigns’ group. For instance, he turned Reigns’ single title defense into a fatal 4-way match against LA Knight, AJ Styles, and Randy Orton. Additionally, he suggested that the Universal title should be vacated if the ‘Tribal Chief’ refused to sign the contract. In his role as SmackDown General Manager, Aldis has proven to be a thorn in the side of the Samoan stable.
Paul Heyman shared a post by Nick Aldis on his Instagram story. The post included a still from their last meeting on SmackDown, with the caption “It was cold in Lincoln, Nebraska, but things got a little heated with Mr. Heyman… again.”
Heyman added his own comment, “Nick Aldis pissed me off.” It seems that there is tension between the two, and this may end up with Aldis facing Reigns in the future inside the ring.
