The Browns are now 1-1 after going down to the Pittsburgh Steelers in their last match, and their running back is now out of the squad for the whole season. Though his whole career was earlier projected to be at stake following the incident, fans must rest assured hearing the latest development on his condition.
Chubb avoids disaster with torn MCL diagnosis
According to Adam Schefter, the senior insider of ESPN, Chubb has suffered only a torn medial collateral ligament in his left knee. As per the source, his ACL was stretched on the match, but doctors believe his ligament is not torn. His surgery is scheduled for this week, and the recovery timeline is expected to be nearly 6-8 months.

Multiple sources stated yesterday that the injury of the vet is going to be a career-ending one. However, now the new updates display much optimism, and if the 27-year-old can successfully recover in the projected time frame, he will have one more season to ink a new contract, with his contract lasting till 2025.
Meanwhile, the Cleveland Browns re-signed Kareem Hunt to replace their offensive weapon. Hunt played four seasons donning the Browns jersey before the team decided to part ways with him last season. As per the statement of Browns HC Kevin Stefanski, he will be taking the place of Chubb in the team’s upcoming contest against the Tennessee Titans.

Following the potential season-ending injury of Aaron Rodgers in week 1, Chubb’s injury in the second quarter of the week 2 match was another huge blow on the offensive line of the NFL. During the Browns 26-22 loss against the Steelers, the RB’s knee buckled inward after Pittsburgh’s star Minkah Fitzpatrick’s low tackle.
He was unable to get up before getting carted off the field with a face full of pain and sorrow. Following the incident, Joe Buck, ESPN announcer, said the broadcast decided not to showcase the replay of Chubb’s injury as it was gruesome for audiences.

Meanwhile, the knee Nick injured was the exact same one he dislocated during his college football career at Georgia in 2015 when the Bulldogs faced off against Tennessee and it required reconstruction after he tore his MCL, PCL, and LCL. The offensive lineman earlier discussed how the injury became a significant setback for his career when he was projecting to overshadow others in his sophomore year.
Now, Nick unfortunately has got involved in the same misfortune when his career is at its peak. Many NFL and NBA icons including NBA great LeBron James, couldn’t contain their grief following the tragedy and took to social media to console the vet. However, he will hopefully recover shortly and bounce back stronger than ever.
