Sirianni’s big challenge now is to decide about the move regarding impending free agents. The Eagles cap is in such good shape due to the extended salary cap for 2024. Their $32.5 million cap can surely retain several players, and the team’s HC wants star linebacker Haason Reddick to be one of them.

Sirianni has voiced his desire to retain Haason Reddick, despite recent trade rumors swirling around him. Sirianni expressed optimism about Reddick remaining with the team at the NFL scouting combine, stating, “We’ll see how that plays out, but hopefully he’s an Eagle.”

General manager Howie Roseman echoed Sirianni’s sentiments, praising the two-time Pro Bowler’s contributions both on and off the field.

“I’d say this: Haason, obviously, an unbelievable player for the Philadelphia Eagles… Love having Haason…. Don’t want to get into any specifics with any conversations with players but have tremendous respect for the player and person.”

The potential departure of Haason Reddick comes amid the Eagles’ strategic preparations for the upcoming NFL draft. With nine picks, including three within the top 53 selections, the team aims to bolster its roster for the future.

Trading Reddick could provide additional draft assets, as his $21.4 million cap hit for the upcoming season stands as the team’s most substantial financial commitment, per Bleacher Report. In fact, his $14.25 million base salary ranks as the highest on the roster.

Reddick, who inked a lucrative three-year, $45 million deal with the Eagles in 2022, showcased his impact throughout the 2023 season. He amassed 38 total tackles, 13 tackles for loss, one pass deflection, and 11 sacks in all 17 games.
