Nikki and Brie have played pivotal roles in shaping the landscape of women’s wrestling in WWE. Both of these talented individuals have enjoyed remarkable careers and have garnered a global following of dedicated fans. Even though the pair stepped away from the professional wrestling scene due to personal reasons, their influence and inspirational impact continue to resonate through their endeavors.
Nikki Bella discloses name change reason
The Bella sisters, Nikki Bella and Brie Bella, formed one of the most renowned tag teams in the entire female WWE roster during their careers. They became household names in the world of professional female wrestling. Unfortunately, their fame was overshadowed as WWE made changes to their names.
During a recent episode of the “Not Skinny Not Fat” podcast, the Bella sisters opened up about their decision to change their collective identity from “Bella Twins” to “Garcia Twins”. They shared their perspective on the situation and spoke about the challenges they faced when promoting their new name. They also mentioned that the change had a significant impact on their personal lives.
“A year before our contract was coming up, we knew we just wanted to walk away and were done with this chapter of our lives. The one thing we knew is that ‘Wait, if we leave WWE, we’re gonna lose our name.’ We really had to do the work a year before our contract was coming up when we had to make the decision like ‘Wait, do we just stay because we are The Bella Twins and we created this empire around that, or do we walk away from it all as we enter a new chapter in our lives as just the Garcia twins.” said Nikki Bella.
The ex-WWE wrestler explained that they sought the advice of a life coach before making the decision to change their name. Nikki was worried that fans would lose interest in the duo because of the name change, which was their biggest concern.
She added, “So we had to work with a life coach literally with this, cause like it’s an identity thing not only to the world but like to who you are. We have this incredible Bella Army, an insane fandom worldwide. The relationship with them became so much more intimate and strong, and a lot of inspiration and motivation. So for us, we even thought about them, ‘How are they gonna feel that they can’t be called the Bella army anymore?’ It took us a year to really talk about that. We were losing our identities.”
Nikki reacted to “fake” challenge
Nikki Bella found herself feeling a bit irritated when she discovered that she had fallen for a prank pulled by a fake source from a verified Twitter account.
Nikki Bella found herself feeling a bit irritated when she discovered that she fell for the confusion surrounding Twitter’s new verification system. She initially thought a WWE rising star had challenged her, but later discovered it was all a lie. She reacted to her mistaken assumption, acknowledging there was no challenge from Jade Cargill.
Bella found herself entangled in a tweet circulating from a verified account. This tweet appeared to quote Jade Cargill, expressing a desire to share the wrestling ring with Nikki Bella. In the tweet, Nikki Bella was hailed as a pioneer of the Women’s Revolution. Notably, the tweet hinted at a potential return for a final run and teased the comeback of the Bella Twins.
Subsequently, she discovered the tweet’s dubious source and promptly removed her initial post, playfully mocking Twitter’s paid verification process. She maintained her enthusiasm to witness Jade Cargill’s influence on the women’s division.
Now, Nikki Bella has shared another tweet, admitting her gullibility in falling for the phony tweet. She was slightly annoyed but didn’t shy away from self-deprecating humor, humorously suggesting if she’d been “punk’d,” a reference to the prank show.
