Novak Djokovic shares heartfelt moment with his biggest fans following remarkable 2023 triumph

When a new generation of players takes over from old ones in tennis, they often do it with superior power and hit the ball as hard from the baseline as anyone ever has but that hasn’t happened against Novak Djokovic and he doesn’t look like a player that will retire anytime soon.

At 36, the Serbian has beaten all the youngsters he has met this season with a 55-win record to 6 losses, 3 Grand Slam titles out of 4, and two ATP Masters. Recently in Turin, Djokovic defeated Jannik Sinner in the final to win his record 7th Nitto ATP Finals title of his career.

After stunning the Italian crowd at Pala Alpitour arena in Turin, Novak Djokovic shared an emotional moment with his children Stefan and Tara after successfully defending his ATP Finals title. His kids were in the stands during his win over Daniil Medvedev at the US Open and were there in Turin to cheer him once again.

Novak Djokovic who has been in fine form since losing to Alcaraz at the Wimbledon final in July defeated home-favorite Jannik Sinner 6-3, 6-3 in the 2023 year-end championships final to claim a record-breaking seventh title at the event. He also surpassed the eight-year-old record of Roger Federer who has six Nitto ATP Final titles.

Speaking about his kids after his win over Hubert Hurkacz Novak Djokovic said his kids were his priority, “I’m just thinking about hugging my kids at the moment. They’re priority for me now. I’ll do some recovery, spend time with them, probably go for dinner. We just play around. We have different games that we play. We cuddle. I haven’t seen them in a while. It’s always nice to have them close.”

After his win over Carlos Alcaraz, Djokovic had said, “Yes my children have arrived, they have brought me confidence, they have brought me good motivation, obviously also the strength to fight tonight and to keep pushing. It is obviously a very difficult thing, every parent knows what I am talking about. When you leave the children for a couple of weeks, even months really.”
