However, fans were left astonished when popular YouTuber IShowSpeed casually mentioned that Djokovic looked familiar in a video.
The surprising interaction happened at the Ballon d’Or award ceremony in Paris, where Djokovic, still awaiting an opponent in the Paris Master 1000 tournament, graced the star-studded night of football’s greatest prize.

Novak Djokovic played a prank on the famous Youtuber IShowSpeed, making him believe he was an AC Milan player. This happened when IShowSpeed didn’t recognize the US Open champion at the Ballon d’Or award ceremony in Paris, France. Djokovic, known for his sense of humor both on and off the court, found himself in the company of some of football’s biggest stars and couldn’t resist joining the fun for the evening.
The 36-year-old’s appearance at the football award event in Paris, where Lionel Messi won his eighth Ballon d’Or of his career after helping Argentina win the World Cup in December last year, Novak Djokovic, who has been in the French capital ahead of the Paris Masters, where he is top-seed and will begin playing at the tournament at the round of 32. A few days ago, Djokovic was spotted among fans at the Rugby World Cup final alongside singer Rita Ora as South Africa beat New Zealand.

Speed known from his YouTube channel IShowSpeed, began their interaction by saying, “You look so familiar!”, to which Djokovic replied, “I’m… uh… I’m a new star for AC Milan.”
The American then claims to recognize Djokovic from Milan but cannot remember his name. And world No. 1 decides to carry on the prank as they continue talking.
“Ah yeah yeah yeah, I know now,” Speed says, before Djokovic goes on: “I haven’t played yet but I’m getting on in the next game and I’m going for a hat trick.” Bothe went their separate ways laughing.

Novak Djokovic was interviewed on the red carpet before the event began and revealed his love of football to the astonishment of tennis fans.
