Alex Pereira has an active YouTube channel where he reveals aspects of his professional and personal life. The Brazilian also uploads skit videos that sometimes even feature Glover Teixeira, his coach and mentor.
In a recent video on YouTube, Pereira revealed his undefeated pick-up line. “I pull up on them and be like ‘Damn your face reminds me my first girlfriend’. Then she’ll be like, ‘Damn you’re comparing me?’ Then I say, ‘Well I never dated before'”, said Pereira when asked about it by Plinio Cruz, his coach and translator.
Pereira’s YouTube video was a short look into his short travels in New York, where he was to appear on Ariel Helwani’s MMA Hour in the studio. The Brazilian’s appearance on the MMA Hour was on February 22 and it was widely watched, with close to half a million views.
Pereira’s upcoming UFC commitment is the headliner of UFC 300, the coveted PPV of the promotion. Jamahal Hill, who defeated Pereira’s mentor Teixeira to become champion, is his opponent at the event.

Alex Pereira had a highly publicized relationship with Merle Christine, a German woman. Christine was seen throughout Pereira’s training camps and was on numerous social media posts of the Brazilian.
However, the pair split unceremoniously and traded barbs against each other. Pereira revealed the reason for the split in an interview with Full Send MMA, as per NY Post. “It was a person I believed, I put her in my house, together with my family. After all I found out, she was married,” said Pereira, who urged fans to delete her from their lives as he had done.
Christine responded with an Instagram story and stated that Pereira’s response was the emotional hurt he suffered from the breakup. However, Pereira countered the argument by posting screenshots of chats she had with him and her ex-husband which were ironically during the same timeline.
Recently, Pereira has posted training videos with Polyana Viana, a fellow Brazilian who is a UFC strawweight. Like Pereira, Viana is also a single parent and the videos of them training together have suggested a hint at a romantic relationship.
