One NFL insider and fans criticize Deion Sanders for his recent controversial draft prospects suggestion

Colorado Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders recently joined ‘Front Office Sports Today’ for an insightful discussion covering various topics, including the upcoming NFL draft. During the interview, Sanders raised eyebrows by suggesting that NFL teams might purposely leak negative stories about players to undermine their draft prospects.

Nevertheless, NFL insider Ian Rapoport offered a different perspective on Sanders’ assertion during his appearance on the same podcast. Rapoport indicated that, in his experience, instances of teams leaking negative information about players are rare, with teams often being cautious about such actions to avoid any backlash.

“You know, probably less than the amount of fingers that I have in one hand has it happened to me, where a team leaks negative information. If anything, it’s almost like they’re protective of that information because they don’t want it to get back to them, that they’re killing some player. I think that’s more of a myth than anything else,” Rapoport said, per Awful Announcing.

Coach Prime is no stranger to making bold statements about draft prospects. Though he opted to keep his son, Shedeur Sanders, out of the draft, he advised USC quarterback Caleb Williams against joining the Chicago Bears due to the city’s weather conditions.

Moreover, Sanders hinted at taking the Eli Manning approach if his son Shedeur or Buffaloes receiver Travis Hunter were drafted by unfavorable NFL teams. Meanwhile, like his previous bold suggestions, this one also has attracted significant attention from NFL fans.

Deion Sanders faces backlashes from NFL fans over draft prospects’ comments

Deion Sanders is perhaps accustomed to facing criticism from NFL fans, particularly for his frequent bold statements about the future of the league.

Nevertheless, following his recent comments regarding the leak of negative information about draft prospects, some football fans have raised concerns about his mindset, with speculation arising that Sanders may be experiencing symptoms of CTE.

Many critics of Sanders argue that this strategy has been a common practice in the NFL for decades, although no team has ever been caught engaging in it.

Additionally, numerous NFL fans cited specific players who they believe may have been affected by this approach, including CJ Stroud and Jalen Carter.

What’s your take on the Buffaloes coach’s newfound trick?
