The Kanas City Chiefs’ reigning superstar Patrick Mahomes is on the road to catching the eyes of his fans in both his on-field and off-field life. After winning his second Super Bowl and second MVP, the star player paid his attention to astound his fans with the Museum of Mahomes.
The “Museum of Mahomes” had a successful initial opening in 2021 which quickly sold out, which spurred the Chiefs player to respond by investing a substantial sum of money in the initiative once more.
Museum of Mahomes: everything to know about
With a motive “to break boundaries and make history on and off the field,” Pat took the initiative to set up the Museum of Mahomes which he revealed in The Exchange on CNBC to discuss in 2021. The collectibles that he offered in his first action were priced at $2,500, whereas two limited-edition, one-of-a-kind pieces were priced at $15,000 each and available in only 50 editions each.
The 27-year-old wants to offer fans a second chance to own a piece of his sporting heritage after it experienced rapid public demand. This time, the museum will be known as the Museum of Mahomes II, and it will have 15,000 of the player’s digital cards and collectibles in its collection. The memorabilia, which will be made available in September 2023, will depict important moments from his first six NFL seasons in beautiful fashion.
The two-time Super Bowl champion intends to donate a portion of the money that is accumulated to the Mahomes Foundation, regardless of how much it may be.
“I am excited to offer physical replicas to holders of the Museum of Mahomes I collection and do some good in the world with the 15 and the Mahomies Foundation as a part of the Museum of Mahomes II release,” he said.
Mahomes has already established himself as a shrewd investor off the field besides his achievements on the field.
Mahomes’ multi-million projects
Pat signed a $450 million in 2020, which allowed him to make significant investments in a number of businesses. He is a member of the Kansas City Royals’ ownership group and is rumored to have invested $10 million in the team to strengthen their ties to the community.
By investing in Sporting Kansas City, Mahomes kept his foot in Major League Soccer and became the first active NFL player to own stock in an NWSL team. Another sports organization in which he made an investment of between $1 million and $3 million is Major League Pickleball.
Apart from these, the quarterback has expanded his investment portfolio from food chains to sporting franchises by acquiring stakes in some brands like Whoop, Buzzer, Hyperice, etc.
With on-field accolades, Patrick Mahomes might wish to advertise himself as a jack of all crafts given his investment success.
