A lot of people are now very inquisitive of Zion Williamson’s plans for the coming season. This is largely publicized owing to Griffin’s attestation of his preparation for the season. The Pelicans Media Day recently ended with him being asked to provide a scouting report on himself after evidence of the best off-season of his four-year NBA career.
He said, “Scouting report on myself? What I worked on was being unguardable.” This statement of Williamson shouldn’t come as a surprise as it is clear that he has truly been one of the “unguardable” players in league history whenever he is healthy enough to be on the court for the Pelicans.
His ability to combine natural strength and power with great burst and short-area explosiveness in basketball is rare for a player of his size. Despite Williamson going down in early January due to a hamstring injury, he was able to average 27.5 points, 7.3 rebounds and 5.0 assists on a manageable 63.3% shooting in his last 15 games.
