Two things are certain in this summer’s transfer sage: Kylian Mbappe wants a move to Real Madrid, and PSG will not lose him for free. Both parties have been through a rough patch, with their relationship initially hitting rock bottom before a strange turnaround got the Frenchman back into the team. Mbappe, as you would expect, happily accepted the development and trained with the club’s B team. However, after not being selected for the team’s first game of the season, a club statement announced the next day that Mbappe would be reinstated into the team after a positive round of talks with the club management.
PSG have now reportedly slammed a $272 million price tag on their star man, putting Real Madrid in a difficult position to negotiate a deal as the transfer window is almost due to close. According to Managing Madrid, PSG are confident of keeping Mbappe beyond this season and may get him to sign a new contract to tie him down to the French capital longer than 2024.
