Initially, PSG and Kylian Mbappe felt like a match made in heaven for many. A potential superstar born and raised in Paris getting to play for the best football club in his city and possibly the whole of France. Mbappe may not have started his career in Monaco but ended up in Parc des Princes to become one of the best players in the world.
A question many have in their minds now is why things didn’t work out between PSG and their star man. A team was built around him, he was given a huge two-year contract, and if reports are to be believed, he even had the power to make huge decisions like which players the team should sign.
Their relationship has reached a new low as Mbappe is apparently holding on to his wish to run down his contract so he can sign for Real Madrid for free next summer. Will PSG ever let this happen?
Kylian Mbappe to Real Madrid confirmed?
PSG are probably a victim of their circumstances. They gave a young player too much power, and that decision has returned to haunt them. When Real Madrid flirted with Mbappe last summer to sign him, PSG quickly gave him the kind of money no player in their squad earned then, but money was the least of what was given to Mbappe. PSG reportedly made him the team’s new star despite having Neymar Jr. and Lionel Messi in the squad at the time.
He was even made the team’s vice-captain, much to the disappointment of Presnel Kimpembe, the club’s second-oldest player after captain Marquinhos. In a season where Mbappe is supposed to carry the team on his back after the departure of Lionel Messi to Inter Miami, where the Argentine is attracting A-list celebrities to his games, Mbappe has decided not to stay at the French club beyond next season.
President Nasser Al-Khellaifi strongly believes the Frenchman has agreed with Real Madrid to be signed on a free trade next summer, something Fabrizio Romano has constantly outlined in some of his Mbappe-related updates. Real Madrid seemingly has all the cards in their hands now, so they’ve been rather quiet on the Mbappe saga.
Why did Kylian Mbappe reject €200 million from Al-Hilal?
Kylian Mbappe reportedly rejected Al-Hilal’s approach to negotiate contracts with him after PSG had initially accepted their €200 million transfer fee offer. Fabrizio Romano reported that the Frenchman turned down the chance to negotiate with the Saudi Arabian club, much to PSG’s dismay.
◉ Mbappé doesn’t want to negotiate with Al Hilal.
◉ PSG sources believe he agreed a secret pre deal with Real Madrid.
◉ PSG, convinced Kylian ONLY wants to sign for Madrid.
◉ Al Hilal agreed terms with Verratti, as revealed — talks on with PSG.

The general belief is that Kylian Mbappe has agreed to a secret pre-deal with Real Madrid for next summer, hence his reluctance to negotiate with another club this transfer window.
